To apply for a price match on one of our products, please navigate to the product page where you will find a dedicated price match request form. It is important to fill out this form accurately to ensure a quick turn around of your request. Before proceeding with the form, we kindly ask you to carefully review and agree to our terms and conditions outlined below. By agreeing to these terms, you help us maintain a fair and transparent process, ensuring that we can offer you the best possible price.
Competitive Price
Piano City is committed to offering competitive prices to its customers by matching lower prices from competitors on identical products. To qualify for a price match, customers must provide a formal quotation or a live product URL that clearly shows the competitor’s price, ensuring that the pricing information is current and accurate. It’s important to note that screenshots, images, or text not directly affiliated with the competitor’s official channels will not be accepted as valid proof. By adhering to these guidelines, Piano City ensures a fair and transparent process, allowing customers to benefit from the best possible prices while maintaining the integrity of its pricing policy.
Identical Item
For a successful price match initiative, it is imperative that the product in question is entirely identical to the competitor’s offering. This means that the product must match in every aspect, including model, brand, colour, and condition. Any deviation from these criteria disqualifies the product from being eligible for a price match. Moreover, identical products and services must adhere to the same purchase conditions, encompassing manufacturer’s warranties and included accessories. It is crucial that the items are not refurbished, display stock, or second-hand, as these variations can significantly impact the value and a successful price match challenge. By ensuring strict adherence to these guidelines, businesses can maintain fairness and consistency in their price match policies while safeguarding the integrity of their offerings.
Competitor within same location and applicable shipping fees
When considering price matching with a competitor, it’s important to note that the competitor must be within the same state or local area to qualify. If the competitor is located in a different state or region, additional challenges may arise, particularly with shipping costs. Unless the competitor offers free shipping, any shipping charges need to be considered as part of the total price. Our policy does not accommodate these shipping fees when determining the final price match. If the item requires shipping to you, the consumer, we will either match the competitor’s shipping fee or provide an option for in-store pickup, ensuring you receive the best value. This approach is necessary because competitors might have more favorable shipping solutions that we cannot replicate. Thus, our aim is to offer you the most cost-effective choice, whether through price matching or encouraging store collection.
Item must be in stock
When considering a price match for an identical product, it is imperative that the item is currently in stock at the competitor’s store. Items that are on back order, out of stock, or available only through external warehouses or direct drop shipping are not eligible for a price match. This is because stock quantities can be inaccurate, and we cannot guarantee the availability of such products. At Piano City, we strive to maintain our inventory and ensure that items are readily available for our customers. It is important to recognize that some competitors might advertise lower prices on out-of-stock items as a tactic to secure sales, potentially leading to long wait times for the product to arrive. By focusing on in-stock items, we aim to provide a reliable and efficient shopping experience.
Bundle Offers
Some competitors may present a better value proposition by offering bundled deals, which could have originated from previous promotions or from sourcing items through different suppliers. This variability in sourcing means that not every music store has access to the same suppliers, and therefore, cannot always match these competitive bundle offers. Consequently, the ability to provide a similarly valued price solution is contingent upon having access to identical products. Without the same products in the bundle, Piano City can not offer the same price/deal.
Competitor must be in Australia and Australian Pricing
We are unable to offer a price match on international prices that are not listed in AUD. Moreover, even if an international competitor offers a lower price in AUD, there are significant differences in the warranties and supplier agreements. Products from international suppliers often do not come with the same guarantees or support services that are offered locally. Only Australian Competitors will be accepted.
There must be proof of the lower price
We cannot accept a verbal agreement on pricing between you and a competitor, nor can we accept any secrecy regarding the competitor’s details. Transparency is a cornerstone of our business, and we pride ourselves on offering exceptional value to our customers. In return, we expect the same level of openness from our customers. If you wish to propose a price match challenge, we kindly ask that you provide comprehensive details, including proof of the competitor’s price and confirmation of the item being in stock. This ensures fairness and consistency for all parties involved and upholds the integrity of our pricing policies. If you do not have an online price match challenge then you may provide a full quotation from the competitor.
Competitor Quotation current
When considering price matching and beating competitor quotes, it is crucial to ensure that the quotation is current and not expired. This means that any offer from a competitor must reflect their latest pricing and availability. Additionally, the competitor must have all items in stock with no estimated time of arrival (ETA) delays unless the context involves matching a large order or specifically challenging a formal quote. In such cases, if you are comfortable with waiting for the items to arrive, we can facilitate the process even if the items are not currently in stock on our end. This approach ensures that you receive the best possible deal while maintaining transparency and reliability in fulfilling your needs. A quotation can be forwarded to us in an email, image or pdf document.
